New frames + Saar Manche

When repainting the rest of our corridor (part1, see here), we also selected some new decoration for our walls.

We chose simple black frames.

We would print our own black and white (holiday)pictures to fill them up, but then I thought of all the nice cards and old drawings which I bought in Firenze (here) and Sevilla (here), last year.

I took them outside, 

and loved to do this quitely on my own, 

but it isn't easy to take good pictures...

The small frames have drawings of characters of the Commedia dell'Arte.

The larger frames hold replica's of old animaldrawings, cut from an old book, which I bought at the large fleemarket in Sevilla.

Filling frames is one thing, choosing how to put them on a big wall, is another...

so for now, they still have to wait a little ;-)

Any good ideas?

I also ordered 2 nice paintings, made by Saar Manche, at Pépin La Lune in Brussels. I love Saar's sence of style, which you can clearly see in her pictures and illustrations, on her blog and on Instagram.

They fit nicely with the black frames but for now, I've put them elsewhere.

A house continuously evolves...

and so it should.

Newpaper grow jars + Clarice

Yesterday, Clarice and I made some small growjars out of newspapers, an idea which we saw at Dille&Kamille (here).

She had gotten these tomato seeds and a blue bamboo jar as a present and they grow really well, unexepectedly,

but now it was time to give them some space before planting them outside.

April in Belgium is quite tricky and it can be all kinds of weather: heavy rain for days, supersunny or even freezing at night... so we wanted to be sure that they are firm enough before planting them outside in full ground.

While doing so, I photographed her with a major head and small body,

(remember the +++ T? here)

 like the red Queen in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland (here)... 

although it was a sad grey day,

we had a blast ;-)

Swirls and some tea

wether I should make some hot tea or change it into an iced tea.

Swirl bowls bought from a local craftman in the Provence,
always take me back.

Sweetening it with the best honey in the world made by a truly passionated friend.

While I was warming up from our early morning bike ride,

with some velvety mushroomsoup,

the new Kinfolk arrived.

Perfect matching colours.

Some shadows falling in.

Sunshine on my back,

warming me even more than my soup does.
